The songs were recorded to tape at the beautiful Miner Street Studios in Philadelphia with Matt Schimelfenig engineering, mixing and co-producing. Matt is really awesome and did my last EP in his basement back in 2014.
We did drums first in 3 days with Pat Brier. I played all the guitar and bass parts over a few more weeks during the course of a year.
Then we spent more time mixing the record which was kind of new for me and SO MUCH FUN. Running all the audio we’d recorded through pedals and amps and old tape consoles from 50 years ago was a dream come true.
It’s a rock and roll record and I’m very proud of it. I hope you get some joy out of the songs. If you don’t have a record player too, it makes for a nice piece of art!
